Sonys first 3D-ready Blu-ray Player

Earlier this week, just a little more than a month after CES 2010, Sony hosted an open house at their new North American headquarters in San Diego. Fresh on the heels of their recently announced 3D-ready TVs, Sony unveiled BDP-S470 (pictured), which is slated to ship later this month for $200. It will arrive with the ability to handle Blu-ray, DVD, CD and even SACD, with a 3D Blu-ray upgrade (via firmware update) planned for this summer. Also included are BD-Live support, BRAVIA Internet Video, a USB port for playing media stored elsewhere, 1080p upscaling and TrueHD/DTS-HD Master Audio decoding. Also announced was a 3D update (via firmware update) for the BDP-S570 due this summer. Click HERE to ready the Sony Press Release.
