The perfect office space can be difficult to build, but the team at Wilshire Media Systems thrives when it comes to overcoming those types of challenges. A recently completed project for a large multi-national company is a great example of what Wilshire Media Systems is capable of.
The project consisted of the design and installation of multiple conference rooms, an assembly room, and a presentation room spread out over two floors. The various systems needed to operate independently of each other, while featuring shared audio and video sources, switching devices and control systems. Our goal was to balance modern technology with the modern design of the facility.
We utilized some of the finest equipment available from top manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, Lutron, QSC, Shure, Sony, URC, Stewart, Mid-Atlantic and Tandberg. Each room features one-touch operation of display devices, projection systems, Lutron lighting control, and motorized window shades and projection screens. The Main Assembly Room features three motorized projection screens and can be divided into four separate smaller rooms for maximum efficiency. A well executed delicate balance of modern design and technology.
Upon completion, the project was presented to the multi-national company and their staff, who were dazzled by the end result.
Wilshire Media Systems recently completed the installation of an audio and video system in the new 50,000 sq ft Silver Star Mercedes-Benz dealership located in the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall. Silver Star Automotive Group consists of nine different dealerships. Designed by ags-ARCHITECTS, the renovation of their Mercedes-Benz showroom began in 2009 in an effort to provide a high-quality shopping and service experience for their customers.
The project consists of a Crestron control system, and multiple zones of distributed audio and video. Speakers were installed in the service department and outdoor areas to provide background music for customer enjoyment. Video displays were installed in the customer waiting area, employee lunch room, and the executive conference room.
The goal of this project was to create a simple control system that required minimal user input and simplified the start up process so anyone could operate each zone of audio and video. One button press turns on all audio and video zones to a preset volume level while switching each TV to a preset DirecTV station and each zone of audio to a preset XM music station. Music and television station presets can easily be changed throughout the day to accommodate customers, and the entire system can be shut off with a single button press.
The Crestron control system is programmed with a unique user interface, which reflects the strong Mercedes-Benz branding while being easy to operate for non-technical staff. The executive conference room is also easy to operate for any of the staff. Virtually no training is needed for a user to come in, start up the system and have a PowerPoint presentation running on the large LED LCD TV.
Despite budget and time constraints, we were able to deliver a reliable Crestron controlled system that allows for future expandability. The system was delivered on time and on budget, and has proven to be very reliable.
Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, Family Media Room 2010. Interior Design by Designs of the Interior, Westlake Village, CA.
The elegant Cravens Estate, which is the headquarters of the San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is the 2010 Pasadena Showcase House of Design. Wilshire Home Entertainment is proud to be a part of this project and collaborate with this esteemed organization.
Designed by architect, Lewis Parson Hobart, the Cravens Estate was inspired by the baroque Chateau Vauxle-Vicomte in France, which was also the inspiration for Versailles. It has a wealth of striking features and original architectural details. The spectacular renovations bring it back to its glory days while adding the amenities, technology, and conveniences that enhance modern living.
Wilshire Home Entertainment designed and installed a concealed entertainment system in the Family/Media Room. As you walk in the room, the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful Seura TV MIRROR. Not just a TV, not just a mirror, the Seura TV MIRROR beautifully, seamlessly and successfully integrates into the home décor. This stunning television is complimented by a complete surround sound system with in-ceiling speakers and concealed electronics.
In the sitting area you will find another television concealed in a cabinet with a motorized lift. When desired, the TV appears with the touch of a button. When the TV is not in use, the furniture remains the focal point of the room and the TV disappears from view.
All the electronics in the room are controlled by one-touch operation with a Crestron control system and touch panel. The Crestron system is also linked to a Lutron lighting and shade control system. This combination allows the user to control the lighting and raise or lower the shades with a single button press. Not only do the Lutron dimmers and shades help maximize energy savings, but the Crestron system also monitors energy usage and savings.
