We always stay on top on the latest tech trends and one of the budding technologies we’re watching right now is wearable electronics. We’re talking smart rings that can unlock your smart phone or tablet and even your front door, smartwatches with some of the same functionalities as a tablet or smart phone and solar charging handbags to keep all of your portable electronics at a full charge. Companies are even developing clothing (including undergarments) with embedded sensors that can monitor all sorts of health data including your workouts and sleep habits. Whether or not the general public will widely accept wearable electronics—and which ones—remains to be seen, but there’s certainly enough interest in this technology segment; the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show will feature a wearable technology display titled “FashionWare.” It certainly gives new meaning to making a fashion statement.
