Adding better sound to your TV is as easy as adding another zone of Sonos. Just plug the power cord in, attach the optical cord to your TV and connect to your home wireless network.
You can even control the volume with your existing TV remote(s)! The PLAYBAR will learn the volume up, down and mute functions of your remote So, when watching TV, just pick up your Universal Remote Control (or cable/dish/DirecTV remote) and it all works seamlessly. Then when you want to play music, the PLAYBAR acts just like another zone of Sonos on your IOS or Android device.

Switching sources is super easy too! Simply feed the HDMI outputs of your video sources (Satellite Receiver, Cable Box, Apple TV, Roku, Blu-ray Player, etc.) into your TV. Most current TVs have an optical output, so you will run that into the PLAYBAR’s single optical input. When you turn on your TV and the input is active, the PLAYBAR will switch to the optical input automatically. When you turn off your TV, the PLAYBAR goes back to music mode.
PLAYBAR is great on its own, but it’s also ready to welcome any new Sonos additions into the fold. Add a Sonos SUB for soul-shaking sound, or add a pair of wireless PLAY:3s for a more immersive surround sound experience.
